Video Game Play
The Wii: The Nintendo Wii’s biggest achievement is its exclusive motion-sensitive remote controller. Intended to replicate a Television remote to make it identifiable to people who don’t play video games, the Wiimote uses a “sensor bar” to link to the console. Acceleration Devices inside the Wiimote recognize how you are clutching the apparatus and how it is being moved. Gameplay is considered a physical activity since you’re using the Wiimote just like the instrument your persona is handling in a game. With video game faves like Mario Kart, Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess and more, the Wii is ideal for a family or group.
The Xbox 360: There is an astonishing figure of well-liked videos available to play on the Xbox 360, plus many that are only intended for this particular game. The graphics are very well done on this console, improving gameplay. There have been a couple of hardware difficulties with this system, but Microsoft has been working attentively to restore them. The Xbox 360 is being sold in three varieties: The Xbox 360 Arcade is the most economical and does not come with a hard drive. The Xbox 360 60 GB sports a good sized hard drive as well as some preloaded games and demos. The Xbox 360 Elite 120 GB doubles the hard drive you get with the middle version, but the price tag is rather steep.

With the Wii and its attached Wii remote, Nintendo has again captured the attention of gamers young and old across the world. Say what you want about their bubbly, kid graphics, and whimsical and light game plots, this system is just flat out fun to play. I had my doubts when I looked down and the cute looked box, loaded the first game I decided to play (Wii Tennis), strapped on the controller and got ready to play. My first impression was that this was some kind of kid’s toy, not something a “serious” gamer would ever be interested in. That changed the moment the game started. Never before have I had so much fun playing something so simple. Four people on a Sony 60 inch plasma, each with their Wii remote in hand, swinging wildly and laughing hysterically as they tried to smash tennis balls through the opposition was one of the most memorable and enjoyable gaming moments of my life. The little Wii remote had changed everything as far as gaming was concerned, and my friends and I could not get enough. “When is Star Wars coming out?” was the question of the day, all of us thinking what it would be like to actually be Darth Vader swinging the Wii remote and having those movements translated into our lightsabres, soon young padawan, soon.
